DDay 6: Too Busy.. Is there such a thing?

Back to work.

Slept late last night, so I woke up late as well. I just had a yogurt and fruit for breakfast then cooked and packed my lunch..

I must admit, this diet really works. In a span of 5-6 days, the bloat on my face and tummy has somehow diminished.. It just really works. It makes you think:

why dont you just follow it??

Is it not worth it??

Why do you have to give in to the junk, which you already know does nothing good for you but instant gratification??

Was that instant gratification worth it??

Anyhoo, our office is still up to its abundant self. I came in this morning, went to the pantry for my usual black coffee and there it was-- a huge arrangement of arabic sweets from a colleague available to everyone for the taking, no reason.. no occassion.

Glad that I dont eat arabic sweets. Hmmmm...

I didnt cook my dinner for today as I woke up so late this morning. And by evening, I got so caught up with errands + the dentist visit that it was already 9pm and I havent eaten my dinner. I was so so so hungry to the point of dizzy.

I tried to wait it out, but was kind of impossible to reach home by 9:30. I already had a yogurt for breakfast, so that was not an option. Fruit and crackers allowances are consumed.

By 09:30, I caved. I ate the crackers, half a pack of it to be exact.

When I reached home by 10:30, I searched the forum about skipping meals. I really didnt feel like eating dinner. I just wanted to sleep. All the post about it had a big message of DO NOT SKIP MEALS! Hmm.. I was full from the crackers and I wanted to sleep. So I went to the kitchen and started measuring.

But I stopped. I was not hungry. Why do I have to eat when Im not hungry?

I know that was not so Coheny- Zonious move that I just made, but fact is, Im not hungry. So I kept what I have measured for the next day and went to bed by 12 after winding down in front of the telly.

Brekkie and lunch taken on time, vitamins, fruits and crackers too. 1 DC

Note to self: "ALWAYS have your meals with you. ALWAYS."

DDay 6: NOT DV free.

Day 39: No Sweat

Yep. I think I got this now.. The Cohen diet part. Its all good here..I feel like I can go on with this eating habit as a part of my daily grind. I've gotten a hang of it already.. which is good..

Honestly, despite the smaller portions and no starch thing (rice or bread), I do not feel hungry. What I do feel is that I miss the taste of the bad foods, but I am not hungry. The program is really designed to keep you full until your next meal, placing an option for snacks in between.

And as I am 10kgs away from goal, the time with which it will take to reach.. well Im giving it a maximum of 2 months as my losses are realllllyyyy slllllooooowwww nowadays.. I've started to distract myself and at the same time to prepare myself by looking at what's ahead of me.

I've read a few of the maintainance diaries because I want to brace myself. I've read, seen and heard that people are having difficulties in maintaining and then getting back on plan to lose what was gained. The freedom and the options for bad food are too much to handle.

In earlier days in the program, the most pressing issues were:

a) to keep cooking Cohen friendly
b) say no to deviations
c) keep cooking and eating on plan

But what was looming at the back of my mind is how will I deal after refeed. I mean, HOW?

----> I know when I taste that chocolate, I would want to have the whole pack OR TWO :-O

----> Or when we order KFC, I would say I would eat a 1 pc chicken only, but what actually comes to mind is 2 pcs and a cup of rice.

----> How will I handle the daily temptations in the office?!?!

Whats so different now and the future? Why can I not do the same thing that I am doing now?

Well in the future, in maintenance land, I would be in my ideal weight, so the pressure to lose is not there. Its a comfortable place I reckon. Im sure I will be in such a happy place that it is easy to give in every now and then. Reward myself.

Comfortable could equal to Complacent.

It can all snowball from there.

I need to know what to do by that time. To start with:

First, I honestly think that 57kg is too skinny for me. I have determined my acceptable weight to be at 60-63kgs.

Second, my goal is to be lean. I will definitely need to eat more so I can train more. What do I mean by more? More healthy food (and more healthy food options in Zone), with a bit of outside food every now and then.

Third, I accept that I need to be very careful during the time when I am experimenting between food and exercise. I NEED to keep track of everything. Not overdo one thing that will compromise the other..

And I am giving myself 3 months after refeed to determine this, and fine tune it before the year ends.

I just need to read up, prepare and create the right mindset for maintainance with exercise. The rest will be handled there.

Im writting this now so I can remind myself from where I have started, where I have come from, and to keep me in check in the future.

----

All meals intact. Had a nectarine right after my beefy lunch, yummy and made me feel so full. Decided to back off balsamic vinegar for now. Vitamins taken. 1 DC today. In the evening, I went for power yoga (whew), collected my blood results, got to eat dinner at 9:45pm and I had half a mango.. delish!

I am not sweating at all though. When I workout, the maximum I get to is being misty.. Why?

Day 39, DV free.

Day 0: Body Stats and Preppin'

Body Statistics 28 Feb 2014

This report shows me that as of today, I weigh 76.9kgs an that I need to lose 10.4kg of fat. The CD recommends a 20kg weight loss in order to reach my ideal weight. Now where can that other 10kg weight loss come from? My ass? My girlies?! (Oh no!!).

The segmental fat results show that majority of my fat is located in my midsection :/ My BMI is 2.2 over than the maximum allowed for my height. :/

My muscle mass is in a healthy range, .4kg over than the maximum . I suppose I will lose some weight here too, although according to CD online consultant, they dont expect my weight to come from muscle mass loss. :? How is that possible? Not that Im bothered so much, beuse Ive found out that I develop muscle faster than other females.

Water, protein and mineral are at very good levels.

Pre Cohen Prep

I have selected the meal options and searched for recipes to make. I had a tough time with this one. I have gathered all my supplies needed for this program:

digital food scale
- ziplocks
- food containers
- 3-day food supplies - chicken breast, tuna in brine, veggies, olive oil spray, fruits, crackers- protein portions already weighed and in the freezer
- 100 day supply of vitamins

My online page shows that my starting date is on the 3rd March, which surprised me because I knew I requested it to be on the 1st. In any case Im starting tomorrow anyhow. But here I am, still awake and watchigtv at 12:30 midnight.

Tomorrow will be more difficult for me because, its my 1st day on the CD and I will be out of the house travelling and then being out in the sun the whole afternoon and then driving back home. I actually have a full day tomorrow. I should be getting into bed now..

Here we go. Wish me luck!
